Which kid do you want? Tubex combitubes are nice. Miracle Tubes are cheaper, but are made from recycled milk jugs. They are a bit out of round and harder to push into the ground. If you don't mind that, call Tree Pro direct.
Tubes are a quick way to protect trees from deer and rabbits, but they have drawbacks. They hold more moisture, which can be good in droughty spots but detrimental in bottomland. The trees put all of their energy into growing up without adding caliper to their trunks. They often have to be staked after they grow out of the tubes. I have heard that some trees die back to the roots over winter, but I haven't experienced this.
Cages are more time consuming, but the trees don't have issues with hardening off. Cages also require weed fabric or mulch unless you've got a special sprayer. I'm going to buy larger bare root seedlings (3' - 4') with cages to see how they do on my property.
