My 10 yr old grandson is definitely going to get a little quality time in the stand with me this fall. We have a youth rifle any sex weekend October 14th - 16th but he only gets to hunt the first day because his dad picks him up for visitation that weekend and he doesn't hunt...
When the weather is nice during our general firearms season he get's to hunt then too. We sit in the highest odds stand of seeing and being well within range of deer. I want him to get trigger time so any deer he wants to shoot is his choice. He has hunted with me or my wife since he was 7 out of open double ladder stands or a double set in the same tree. He is a rare child in the fact that he is very mellow, calm, patient, and quiet. He has never spooked a deer...
