Since it is sweet gum he better get steel toes on because his foot would hurt after kicking it for each person who wanted one in. I'm covered up in sweet gum on a small section. Cut spray cut spray and I still have it coming back.

I have a use for specifically for them. I trim the branches off and lay them across muddy spots on my trails, keeps the atv from sinking in the mud. I dont have very many large trees as my land was clearcut before we bought it, but plenty of sweet gums. First year I cut them I didn't know anything about hardwoods re-sprouting from the root, talking about making more work for yourself.

My worst fear is that I won't get back in time with the gly and that sweetgum will take off growing and jerk my little persimmon out of the ground with that big wire.......
