Fertilizing My Trees in Somerset county Pa

I live in probably the coldest part of Pa since were near the highest point, We still have some snow covered grounds. With the warmer weather we are to be getting next week is it too early to fertilize the trees now with risk of budding early and freezing later? Thanks again

It's a good time to fertilize since it takes fert a little time to work into the ground and become available. Early budding is 100% controlled by the weather and doesn't have anything to do with fertilizer...
