Ordered my rootstock this year from fedco so I had to order in lots of 10. So I've got more Pear rootstock coming then I initially had planned on so thought I'd put a list of a few pears I wouldnt mind having. I've got lots of pears and apples i could use to swap.

Pear varieties I'm looking for:
McKelvey
Dixie Delight
Korean Giant
Harvest Queen

I wanted to add Collins to my list, it am old southern apple from Arkansas. Lee Calhoun states he found it in Virginia but i can't come up with it.

I might have some Korean Giant for ya next year. I just grafted about 5 seedlings this year but they are whips and won't be getting any pruning this winter.

I guess I really need some pears.......I'd like some Asian pears (Korean giant, shinkeski, plus others) as well as Ayers and any other "must haves".

I have moonglo and kieffer......so not much....yet!

CAS hunter everything you've listed so far can be ordered from the GRIN website. Others good trees include Orient, acres home, Ledbetter, pineapple, Charles Harris, hoskins are all rated as disease resistant, also they will cover you from Aug through Oct.

https://npgsweb.ars-grin.gov/gringlobal/search.aspx

That is the link to the search page. Just put you plan to do research and report finding on various message boards. I always add something about looking for disease resistance.

They will ship the scion to your house free of charge also have many apple and Crabapple selections as well just have to do a lot of searching.

I would've sworn that I looked for those varieties when I placed my order earlier this fall......maybe I didn't! Ha!

Either way......I got them ordered now! Should be good to go now I think!!

I will have some ayers this year I would gladly pass along. This comes from a bark graft I did last spring and got the scions from native hunter it put on a ton of growth and I will prune some of the lower branches.

Anyone have hickory pecan or hican scions? Maybe butternut as well?
Richard Fahey from New York offers several hickory scions. I've got his latest flyer around here somewhere if someone doesn't get his address first. I grafted Grainger from him, it may have enough growth I could get you a piece.

Send a self addressed envelope for his pretty massive apple, pear, hickory, black walnut, and other things as well. He doesn't use a phone so pretty sure mail is the only way to get in touch with him.

Thank you I will send him a letter about some butternuts. I think I may have found someone close for hickories I just need to call him to see. Don't worry about getting any off your tree I think I can round up quite a bit. Have you top worked any hickory or walnuts? I'm gonna give bark grafting a go this spring. Have done it with pears but nut trees are suppose to be a lot harder.

Not sure if he has butternut, but at one time he put out a separate list for nut trees that may have had them.
I have done both hickory and walnut with good success. Use this link to download the free brochure on pecan and walnut propagation in Missouri. I use the three flap method and have played with four. I even use the tied sandwich bags for my bench grafted fruit trees instead of wax.

Thanks for the link I've been reading and watching a lot of videos. Funny you mention the flap graft I think I'm gonna give it a shot too if I can get some scions and rootstock diameters close in diameter.

Looking for some early dropping (sept, oct) persimmon scions. Ones on my property hold thru december and looking for some earlier dropping for early bow season.

I cut quite a few this weekend......enterprise and Arkansas black apples, and kieffer and moonglo pears. Plus, some type of farm/wild apple that is growing on a fencerow that produces good fruit.

I will also have golden delicious apples and Bartlett and Anjou pears.

I'm looking for some persimmon scions, early and late. Have a number of persimmons around, but none are producing as of yet. Would like to speed up the process. Any help would be appreciated.

My kieffer pears have a serious blight problem. I'm looking to cut them back and start over with a better blight resistant variety. If anyone needs some yates or Arkansas blk scion wood I can trade or pay for some pear scion wood.
