Cuttings from native(wild) poplar?

Been lurking for a while, thought it was time to ask a question. Sorry if I missed where this has already been brought up. I have access to a lot of regen poplar from a couple year old clearcut. Will cuttings from these grow or do I need to start with something similar to a OP 367 Poplar?

Yes. Take cuttings anytime after leaf drop and before bud break. You'll have better success with rooting hormone but it's not mandatory . The op367s are great too!
