Great tree but tell radar no squirrels in that tree. Do squirrels eat chestnuts? I would assume they would love them

nice update. I planted a package up here about 2-3 years ago and they all died. I am currently getting regrowth from the roots. They are about 5 ft tall now. I presume the root stock is Chinese.

Yes rootstock is some form of Chinese Chestnut.

Squirrels love Chestnuts! Radar is just a pup but I hope to get him in the woods some this winter. He’s already showing good sign that he hates the squirrels. I asked the people who i bought him from how to train him and they gave me a few tips but they said that most of it will just come naturally to him.
