they are supposed to be rebuilding. The factory burned down in 2012. Mr. Hubig started it in 1922. They were a tradition in south Louisiana, and available all over. Everyone around here is excited for the comeback possibly next year. My favorite was the apple.

Native...Just saw this and by tummy started growling. Sad, sad commentary for anyone that looked at that and didn't know it was a fried pie of either apple or peach. I once made those things a dozen at the time when the boys were growing up but ain't made any in years. Looks righteous!
