Anyone had Covid?

I had it and after 12 day unable to sleep from fever, headache, body aches (legs). Had lost sense of taste and appetite, couldn’t hardly make myself eat anything and then I felt like I wasn’t getting enough air. My wife wanted to take me to ER but fortunately I found a Dr. to prescribe HCQ, Prednisone, Zpac, Doxycycline, and I took zinc and immediately started getting better and was symptom free in 3 days. Took a week to get my strength back but recovered quickly after getting those meds. I would advise anyone that has symptoms go immediately to your Dr. and ask for those meds.

We were celebrating my oldest son's birthday at the creek with family and friends. We have an awesome place along with a great rope swing I made. We were all playing a game of creek tag when the kids ganged up on me and got a little excited and pushed me in the creek. Not a very fun recovery. ¼ to the left and I would have perforated my bowls leading to a whole other list of problems. But.....I did test negative for Chinavirus

Whoa! Glad you’re doing ok now. I hurt just thinking about that...

Welcome to the forum and thanks for participating. That sounds like quite a cocktail of meds but if it's doctor prescribed and worked out for you it should be ok. Glad you got over it.

Well, it probably went through our house. Both of us had a cough for week or two, fatigue, felt like stuffed up in the sinus. Easy to loose balance when rising. I used Clariton for the Sinus stuff and Musinex for the cough.

Never Tested and never intend to be.

My Mother was tested Positive and she lives in an Assisted Living Facility that has been locked down for months. No One In or Out except for Staff. She was the Only One to test Positive. She had ZERO Symptoms the week before the test and the week waiting for the results, then they made her stay in her room 14 days and never leave it. And she still NEVER had any Symptoms.

She has asked for a Re-Test and they refuse to give her one. They say Once your tested Positive you will always be in that category. And that is BS. This has become a Money Maker for several of the Health Systems and that's all I'll say about that.

Less than a 1% Death Rate and they are acting like it is the End of the World and one of the candidates running for President says he will shut down the entire country if elected to "keep us safe". That's all the Political I'll get. Make your own decisions.

Crap does happen. Friend passed this morning from Covid related complications. Healthy, active 52 yo. Her only real mistake probably was waiting too long to seek medical from what was obviously a severe bronchial issue. But don't we all tend to do that. Really surprised at this one. Others I have known to deal with serious complications had underlying issues.

I just came back from resort in MD near the PA border. Two buddies and wives joined us from PA. Funny, resort were stickers about masks and social distance but yet the casino was open with somewhat distancing and hand sanitizer everywhere. But I never saw the first wipe down and while they limited numbers in, I'm sure at times there were several hundred. And they were bringing seniors in on busses to play the casino for the day. Crazy. Odd how priorities are structured by the Powers. Not much a gambler but I won 2700$ on 10$ so Im fine with my Covid chances. Headed to MB this wk so if I don't have the Covid by then I guess it ain't gonna happen.

Oh. so it is real, sorry to hear about your friend. I hope that you don't push your luck too much.

Don't look now but the latest strategy out of the White House, besides it's all over, is not testing, not social distancing, not masks but instead were now shooting for herd immunity like Sweden. So now were looking forwards to millions of dead, utter insanity.

Haven't feared it from the start. Respect , yes, fear, no. I've worked inches from much worse bugs pretty much 3/4 my life. Play safe.
 
PSJ glad you’re doing better. Don’t let those young’uns get too rough with you nest time.

As for the China virus. I’ve know a few folks that have had it. One was hospitalized and almost died. He has recovered now but still has lingering effects. Others have had symptoms ranging from mild to severe but have recovered in a two week period. I’m sick of all of this. Wish I could go back to living “normal”.

Well, there are a couple ways to handle this “pandemic”. You can cower in your basement, but I don’t have one, :) or you can go balls to the wall like it didn’t happen and ain’t happening. I suppose you could use a little common sense and take a few precautions and live your life. That’s been my MOS since the start. Too many people are using this to steer an agenda.

I agree it is Real. But it's nowhere near the Total Destruction of the Human Race they tried to sell to us.

The only Utter Insanity was the fact that it was used to Completely Destroy the Best Growing Economy with All-Time-Lows and All-Time Highs in:

Lows:
Over all Un-employment.
Un-employment among those of the Black Race.
And Hispanic, and actually most every Race.
Jobs that were being listed faster than they could be filled.

Highs:
Stock Market BOOMING.
New Homes Sales.
Used Home Sales.
New and Used Autos Sales.

And more.


All done for a two-fold Reason. One to destroy this Current President and try to keep him from being Elected again. Two to fulfill a very wealthy man's desire and dream to Lower the World's Population and then Vaccinate them with a Product he and Dr Fuci has been working on since they both went to College together. Or at least that's what the information that easily found by doing some research would lead one to know.

I’m not sure how many companies large and small will survive this ordeal. I’m now in MB. Hotel is 1/3 full for a holiday wk. Ate at a major restaurant last night w 4 other tables used. In past was a 2 hour wait wo reservation. As in WV, help wanted signs everywhere. Talking to our waitress they can’t get employees to return work and no one applying for work. I just don’t understand how these companies are paying their bills.
As said my wife is a part time realtor and they are swamped. She will close 3 houses this wk. Her 6 coworkers will close 50+ houses next couple wks.
Our state outdoor attractions have been booked thruout the year. But I feel for the other business that is so limited. Hopefully they survive. Especially those ran by young people.
I know the young tend to be really trashtalked but I know a bunch of very hard workers trying to make a good impact and were doing well before this crap. Good luck to them. And to you guys.
