    Is Sitka worth the money?

Being too cheap to buy merino wool hunting stuff, I have bought a couple merino wool light sweaters at Goodwill for $3.00. Have not used them to hunt in yet. Am I getting the same stuff as the high dollar new stuff sold for hunting?

    Norway spruce seedlings-help

i tried to plant some but they are at the farm 80 miles away and hard to water consistently. My idea is to order seedlings and keep them home this summer in pots on the patio so I can water them, then plant them in the fall. What do I keep them in? Special pots?(wife is against planting them in...

    Digital Pressure Cooker

Will a pressure cooker make a deer roast more tender than a crock pot, or will I get the same result, only faster?

    Starting bare root trees

Goal is to have trees at the farm. Trying to increase the odds of that happening. Don't know much about trees, so I am looking for suggestions to better my odds, rather than risking the same thing next year

    Starting bare root trees

I had failure of my norways this year, I assume from drought and being tooo far away for me to water them. Can I start them in 5 gallon buckets this fall on the porch at home and grow them through next summer? SWMBO is against planting them in the back yard at home. Any other ideas?

    The Brushpile

Never heard of suckering cherry. MDC doesn't list it. They look tasty; how are they? Love the ideal of harvesting some. Is this a good shrub for deer. Looking for more variety in my ninebark/wild plum/Norway spruce pasture rebuild

Know anything about serviceberry or spice bush?

I need a shade tolerant shrub. MDC catalog shows serviceberry to be such a plant. Anyone have experience with it? Catalog says it gets 25 feet tall. What about spacing? Says spice bush tolerates partial sun. Spacing on this?

    Need shade tolerant shrubs

I want to plant a central Missouri field edge to increase plant diversity for bedding in a fallow field. This edge doesn't get much sun. Any thoughts?

    Smartweed in clover

With the wet summer I am getting smartweed in the clover. Do deer eat it? If not, will something kill it but spare the clover?

    The Brushpile

Looks like the trees are unprotected. The deer don't mess with them?
