Solo hand spreader setting

What is a good starting setting for spreading clover/alfalfa with one, I don't have much so I don't wanna over seed and run out. Thanks guys

For my solo, I always just barely open the slider until some barely starts coming out and then give it just a smidge more. If I get the whole area spread and still have seed, I just keep walking and just changed directions of travel.

Ditto. Just open the gates enough to let seed pass.

A tip is to put your hand or arm in front of the seeder and feel the seed as you crank

Once you start to feel the seed that is open enough for clover. After doing a pass or two adjust as you need a little more open.

For rye I had mine set about 3 or 1/2 open. Mix in any turnips or other larger seeds if your putting down say 5lbs acre with your rye or oats that are at say 50lbs acre

For oats I use about setting 5 because of larger seed.
