Deering 8' double cultipacker for $275. I'm happy as a clam with that. I have a 12' single that I'm going to sell for $675 if anyone is interested, location is N. Indiana. The 12' has a 4" axle and could cut down pretty easily.

We got one like that and cut it down to make an 8 footer then built a 3 point hitch for it. Awesome and all for under $300.

That was a steal at $275. I bought the same unit last year for $500 delivered. They sell for $100 per foot around here also.
Speaking of bearings. I believe that unit has split wood bearing that are not available. All 4 of mine were shot. So I looked up on a farm forum for repairs.
I found using 2 pieces of PVC pipe, one inside the other it was a perfect tight fit. Been using it for 2 years now and do about 2 miles per years and no sign of wearing out.
