I graft my trees but,

Yes I am guilty of it too. I usually purchase from Stark Bros. and I want to try some from Chris at turkey creek but I am a sucker for clearance trees. I bought nine pears last spring that were ten foot tall for 5.00 a piece. I pruned up the roots and surprisingly the trees never missed a beat since planting. I am watching some fruit trees at lowes right now waiting on the sales.

Now, will you use them for grafting root stock or let them fruit?
I'm going to let them fruit. I do plan on setting the graft below the soil level in hopes that they root and make a standard size tree.
Liberty is very disease resistant and golden delicious grows well here. Maybe they'll get me a head start on apple production while I wait on my grafted tree to start producing.
