Habitat management of a different type

Right up his ally! Neat article and something I would live to see.

This is news to me.... Interesting to see how well they communicate within their own state! So here is an odd perspective......are they "wild animals" if they are limited buy a fence? The reason I ask is because IN has an on-going battle over deer farms and who is to oversee them.....the DNR or the USDA.

Some folks have been calling for an Elk reintroduction as well.....similar to what they did in KY. I question the DNR's means of managing deer in this state and argue they have no business introducing large animals like these and further spreading out resources that the DNR claims they don;t have to properly manage the deer.

LOTS of great points, J-Bird...I wish I had some decent answers for ya, but Indiana's approach seems to be "management by ignorance", so I guess we'll just have to see what obtains with these bison.
