Flashlight recommendation

There are a ton of good options out there, but the best are not at your local hardware store. I've read different things, but the most important tidbit (opinion) was that you should choose a neutral light as opposed to be a cool or blue type of light in order to maximize the reflectiveness of blood at night if you're truly wanting a "tracking" light.

That's why I was directed to the ThruNite brand of flashlights. I picked up a couple last year in neutral white, and their brightness relative to their size is impressive. Unfortunately I haven't actually been appropriately able to field test them as I haven't had to track anything. I think real field testing these lights for their intended purpose is so much more valuable than "aaahhhh man, dis lite i got heer is BRIGHT!".

Anyway, happy tracking, as happiness does lie at the end of a blood trail.
