Hoping to get some birds this week. They really like the wheat. The first seeded clover in the walnuts is coming up good. Wheat has helped our soil greatly. We will disk the wheat in on the top plot in next few weeks and plant whitetail institute power plant and corn.

Man, the morels you guys find look like on steroids compared to mine. Haven't found any this year yet, not sure why. Plate of food made my mouth water.

We put 20 channel catfish in the pond, Minnows, hybrid bluegill, and redear bluegill. I cannot wait to put our summer plots in and get my trees planted. Lots of pictures to come when I get the chance to get back down there.

A few years ago we got rain like that in Orange County while turkey hunting. I had to drive 40 miles out of my normal route because 37 and 150 were flooded out. Got lucky and made it to Shoals and US 50 before the next wave of rain came through.

I have not logged on in awhile; baseball, work, and some sick relatives have been keeping me hopping. If you are the praying type, keep my family in mind. I finally got to farm and rain was spotty enough to get some work in. Bush-hogged, weed eated, made some brush piles, hinged some trees, and planted oaks, chestnuts, white pine, and persimmons. We did not get to plant our summer foods plots yet. Took the kids to Louisville slugger museum Sunday afternoon for my son's birthday. Caught a few bluegills. The boy seems to really like the habit stuff; notice the head to toe mud. Phone went dead on me today or I would have taken many more pictures.

I was glad that we didn't run into any turkeys or fawns. We did jump a bunch of rabbits. Mowing those nice wheat fields was kind of hard, but they should have been in power-plant a month ago
