    That's the best part - I didn't plant it - and the guy who did plant it pays me ( crop lease) for him to feed my deer all summer. Then as a bonus, he will plant me a nice wheat cover crop this fall - and that is free to.

    To answer your question, I think this was planted about 3 weeks ago. Heavy rains the last few days, so they should really take off now. This is my new place that I have never deer hunted on before.

    Our farmer used to rotate/double crop beans and wheat every year, but with wheat prices in the cellar lately, he's just been planting beans. I'm jealous!
