Mahindra tractors

Does anyone have any experience with Mahindra tractors? Pros and cons? A new dealer just opened up in my town and they have some awesome deals on the first 10 tractors they sell. Are they reliable and solid?

I have a 3516 I bought in 2014. For the size, Mahindra's are the heaviest tractors in their. I like mine but it is not without issues. All the electrical system is very cheaply made. Connectors are thin. The battery terminals are made out of copper foil and corroded away in about 8 months. I also think their HP ratings are very over-rated. Mine is supposed to be 35 hp but seems rather weak compared to several other 35hp tractors I have operated. Same goes for the power take off. Seems to stall more than I think it should. I have the FEL on mine and that is the one thing I actually love having. I bought mine with a finish mower, a brush hog, a 5 foot tiller and a post hole digger. I think I paid just at $15,000 for the package. The only thing I hated was the clutch. In damp weather if you let it set for a couple hours without locking it out, it will stick. I had to have mine taken apart last year because it sat for several days. Would I buy another one in the future? Probably. For the money, there is nothing on the market in it's class. I would go for at least a 60hp though.

P.S. I almost forgot, the seats are pure junk. I know of several people that had the same issue I had. They are held into the frame with cheap construction glue and WILL fall apart if the tractor is kept outside.

I am looking at the 4550 model today. I have seen alot of reviews like yours. Thanks for the input.

Mine is a few years old but ai haven't had those issues but the design on mine wasn't the best as far as cleaning radiator and checking fluids.Get as many horses as you can.if I had to do again I might buy a bigger ag tractor around 80hp.There is an 80hp with a cab,4wd for around 9000 with 450 hours right now.Hope it's not a scam

I have a 4530 4wd. Ive had mine for 8 years. Its been a good reliable tractor. I pull a woods 6 ft. heavy duty cutter with no problem . My only real issue is that it has a small fuel filter inside of the fuel tank. It is a pain to remove and clean when it gets clogged over time. I dont know if the newer models still have that setup or not.
Overall, Ive been very satisfied.

I don't have one but I know some folks who do as we have a Mahindra dealer nearby...1st one a really good friend of mine has a 55 HP he bought new 4 years ago.and uses very little. It only has 84 hours on it now...he has had the clutch sticking deal and one day he climbed on it and the curl up function would not work on the loader. It dumped buthe couldn't get it to curl back. It was an o-ring in a valve I believe he said. He also has it die one day and could not restart it. Somehow it got air in the fuel line and had to be bled to start. He told me he would never buy one again...

My cousin bought a brand new one this spring and has hadit back to the shop 4 times for miscellaneous issues.

I looked hard at them before I bought my Kubota because they were dirt cheap compared to Kubota. I have over 800 hours on mine now and almost all of them have been commercial brushhogging. I have changed fluids and changed seals in the front axle assembly once and add diesel and that is it...I work the dog out of my Kubota and actually feel sorry for it most days...

I looked at Mahindra and after researching and seeing the problems they had, changed my mind. I bought a Kubota MX5200 and haven't been disappointed yet. I keep it at my brothers because he has room and it is close to some land I hunt and plot on. He also uses it on his cattle lease when he needs a tractor smaller than his. I am happy I spent a little extra and got a better tractor.

I just priced Mahindra and Kubota tractors. In my neck of the woods, there's not enough savings in a Mahindra to make me leave Kubota. I'm currently searching for a good used 60ish hp Kubota that is pre-emission. Nothing wrong with my M5700 except 2wd and no FEL.
