What are these?

We have a bunch of these growing on the backside of our home place. I need to know if I need to spray them.

Wow, I hope you’re right! They do look very similar. If you look close, you can see a smaller red “fruit” at the very bottom of the pic.

That one is probably damaged in some way. When the large green ones turn red you will be able to tell then.
 
I second the previous responses. Definitely looks like a native plum of some sort.
Has anyone tried or had any luck with transplanting them?

They transplant easily. Just get a good clod of dirt around the roots.

Thats what they are,sand hill plum is another name for them.I have planted thousands and now have around 10 large patches.The last couple I planted in rows 10ft apart in NWSG to create bedding.If you can beat the birds to them there is no better jelly.
