What’s your best?

This recipe has been handed down in my brother's wife's family and I know it is over 60 years old. However, it is far better than any purchased mixes that I've tried:

Albert’s Jerky Recipe

3 pounds of lean deer meat cut in 1/4 inch strips (or thinner). When cutting the meat, slice across the grain of the meat. Soak overnight in a plastic bag in the sauce. Stir or toss as often as you can to work the sauce into the meat.
2 tsp salt
1 tsp onion salt
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp pepper
1 TBSP of liquid smoke
1/3 cup soy sauce
¼ cup Worcestershire Sauce

My brother says that he has added ¼ cup Sriracha. (I’m not into hot sauces.) He also suggests using Maggi Seasoning Sauce instead of the soy sauce. I haven’t tried that substitution, but give it a try.
