No idea Tom, the timing seemed unusual to me too, 6:49 pm. Maybe it was bumped from a roost, found something appealing to devour, and took it there to eat in peace, although there appears to be nothing visible in the frames to confirm that.
In my ten years of running cams those are my first owl pictures and for whatever reason, having them taken in broad daylight made them even more special to me.

I've had a few owl pics but usually right at dusk and very early dawn. Never one that clear.

Yes from a homebrew build I put together, I was very lucky to have gotten the shots.
