Tree replacement, bear problem

The problem is bears are rediculously curious. They smell the apple blossoms, investigate, and see a fun cage/tree to destroy. Never leave anything plastic laying around. I’ve probably lost 20 gas/diesel cans to the damn things. Not to mention tractor seats, pvc pipe, boat cusions, you name it. Pita.

This man speaks from experience. One year we tried BlueX tree tubes. Bears destroyed every single one, within a few months.

Oh yeah, I’ve lost Plenty of tree tubes to bears.

I had hoped removing the blue 5 gallon Lowe’s buckets from each cage would solve my problem, unfortunately it did not.

Yes same here! Treestands, trail cams (I now run security / bear boxes on all my cams), 4 wheeler seats (don't ask), & climbing stands left in the woods overnight ughhh!

I like the idea, just not sure how to set that up on food plots without constant grounding issues that I won’t find out about until weeks later.

This is the plot that’s seeing the most damage right now. Apples and pears line the north and west sides.

You have plenty of sunlight in that area to set up a solar energizer should you decide to wire & go hot!

Bet you wouldn't have to do more than 4 wires 10" apart to keep bears out. I'm sure deer would hop that w/o thinking about it but it would prob. deter some. It'll be interesting to see if they actually jump my top wire at 5-5.5'...

Bear fences sold for brown bear country often have just a wire or two running on a tiny battery. I guess the bears nose is so sensitive it can detect the electric current and they want nothing to do with it.
