Wild Rose.

I was able to find you a picture of one that someone took in Michigan recently. Yours has opened up just a little more, but you can see it is the same.

Yes, it's more than likely a native plant. There are several different species of native wild roses. I noticed one growing in a fence row last year. If I can remember, I will take a pic of it when I'm over there.
