Small tree ID

Was out after some limb rats this weekend and came across a small tree on the edge of a field. Any guesses?

It was indeed a successful morning! BBQed a couple of these guys tonight.

Thanks guy! That was my guess after looking through my tree book. Seems like it should be a pretty one during the spring, will have to pay attention next year.

I'm not surprised you killed a mess of squirrels in the tree. They love those little red boogers.

I agree that it's FD, but the bark looks much more coarse than the FD we have around here.

And deer love those fruits, too!
