Was down working on fall plots and noticed this shrub, never seen it before. Not the best pic, but berries are small, and the thing was about 4ft tall. Any thoughts?
Anyway, was at my farm last week and had about 15-16 autumn olive absolutely shredded by bears. Have pics but can’t seem to post. I kill 70-80 every year and don’t make a dent so, yeah, I’d kill it.
If the backside of those leaves are silvery/white, and it has any new shoots that are lighter brown than the more mature bark, it’s definitely autumn olive. Target with a tremendous amount of prejudice.
