Recommendations or DCO's.

A friend gave me two DCO's that he started last fall. They are about 24 inches tall and look great. Each has a small ball of roots. What do you suggest I do with then at this time of year?. Should I plant them now or pot them and keep them through till spring?

Wait until they go dormant and plant them during the winter. The earlier the better.

They act like like temperamental divas grown in containers in my experience

Difficult to get water schedule, fertilizer,growth media right

The ones i DID get right started producing in 4 years

I’ve had very good success with shrub tubes and DCO’s. If you can planting them in full sun, they will put on nuts in 3-5 years.
