Recommendations for a good spray bottle.

I finally got around to dropping a couple large sweetgums beside one of my plots yesterday. They kept one small area in shade most of the day. I plan on putting a couple crap apples in the area. I had my spray bottle of 50% GLY to treat the stumps. It leaked like a sieve. I cannot find a spray bottle that will hold up for more than a few weeks without leaking. Can anyone recommend a good quality quart size spray bottle that will handle herbicides without leaking?

I gave up on spray bottles for that reason, now I’m using an old dish soap bottle instead.

Soap bottle works. I've used a common el cheapo water bottle. 1. Drink water from the bottle. 2. Take a pocket knife and put a slit in the cap. Want more spray, open the slit. Works great for keeping the flames at bay on the the charcoal grill too.
If you really want a spray bottle the Dead down wind bottles are pretty good. Last season's of course. That stuff goes bad after a season anyway.

I just got home from Lowe's. They had a 32 oz. spray bottle of Round-up for $5. Iit's only 2% but I'll use it and add more RU to it. I figure if they sell it that way, maybe the spray bottle will hold up a little better..

Watch your bottles. Round-up/gly will eat some plastics. I found that out he hard way. I had mixed up a gallon of 2%+ solution for my MIL - they didn't use it so I poured the leftover into a washed out plastic milk jug. A week or two later the chemical created a hole in the jug. I like your idea of re-using a jug/bottle that already had gly in it.

They can put a man on the moon but they can't make a decent spray bottle.
I haven't had problems with them leaking but I constantly have problems with them barely squirting. I hate the things.
I try to rinse them out well and I also tried allowing water to remain in the trigger mechanism so the seals and O rings don't dry out. That seems to help, but they still fail way too often.

My one gallon pump-up lasted about 5-6 years until the wand/sprayer would no longer operate effectively. Replaced this year with a 2 gallon for 20$ at Walmart. Not sure of the quality, but it says ROUNDUP on the front. We'll see...
