Does anybody have any experience using a pasture mist sprayer/fogger? I have always used my quad to spot spray with some boom usage for thistle and lespedesa, but quickly get overwhelmed. I typically spend 3 or 4 days per year spraying and when hedge trees are added it is way too much to cover with a quad and a 25 gallon tank. These misters attached to a 3pt are supposed to cover up to 180 ft per pass and are efficient in the amount of chemical used.
They are crazy expensive for what basically amounts to a squirrel cage fan and tank, but the price is comparable to the price quote from a commercial spay company to do my pasture. I can't use this everywhere because it could wipe out my dogwood thickets and bedding areas, but seems to be a good idea in the open. They also are supposed to work great on trees, no matter the size. Orchards use them to spray for insects, etc. Thanks!
