My quickest ever hunt was in the rain. Damn thing lit in the decoys, thought I was duck hunting. Congrats.

Nothing like a wet turkey when you want to take a picture ! 
My buddy dropped one on the wing in a pond once when he goobered up the first shot. We learned from that little episode that turkeys can swim, and when they're really close, "aim small, miss small" is a fact !
Wet or not, good bird !
