I’m planning on removing briars, palmetto and gum saplings from an area NW of my deer stand this summer. I want to put a cereal grain, a legume and a brassica. This is moist clay with a 5.5 ph (or it was back in 2001). Winter wheat did very well in this spot 20+ years ago. This is zone 9A in southeast Louisiana. I was thinking Winter wheat, 4010 peas and seven top turnips, but clearly open to all suggestions. TIA.
