Slow morning for me, but bil passed a good one. I think we’ve had pics of him on our place in years past. He said he just couldn’t end his season 8 minutes in. lol
This buck was with 3 other bucks feeding on persimmons. Not cruising or chasing.

This morning im watching some whiteoaks at the edge of a bedding area with a food plot on the side. Doing some rattling and grunting, only one spike so far

Keep at it this is beginning of seeking phase bucks will be active all day.

Half a dozen years ago your posts convinced me to plant persimmons, this picture is out of my hunting blind at 60 yards. I wish I had planted twice as many at that time.

So far I saw a nice 8, a 6 point, and a forkhorn. So the next in the series is either going to be a spike or a big ten point

Louisiana area 9 primative season opener. 65 degrees, foggy and humid. NEF single shot 45/70 with 300 gr Federal soft points. Sitting in my duck hole waiting on backstraps and not real confident but it’s open morning and gotta be out here.
