Lime?

I created a new food plot last year in late summer.
My soil sample told me I needed to add 1 1/2 tons of lime. I planted a clover mix just to get something down. The clover has come up real good and looks good now. My question now is if I spread lime on this plot now will it smoother the clover. I really don't want to disc the clover up. Thanks

I added pelletized lime last year in early May over clover and it did fine.

IMO, clover will be fine. Get it down.
