Jager has been on two tracks this season for some other hunters in the area. First track was abt 300yds and plenty of blood but the deer wasnt dead. He showed back up under the same stand and camera 2 days later. From the looks of it, he was hit right under the back strap. The next one 5 spots with only 3-5 tiny drops of blood, 175yd track no deer. All other tracks has been me and maybe one other person and he is focused and doesnt seem to care abt us being there. These two tracks there were 2-4 other people following trying to help and he kept getting distracted and turning around and barking... Not sure if anyone else has dealt with this but im looking for advise on how to correct the distraction. The second track i introduced him to the hunters and let them give him attentions and than told them to ignore him once we started tracking and to stay 10-20yds behind us. It helped a little but still took some attention off the job at hand. The other factor is neither deer were dead so im not sure if that also affected his focus.
