Iron pellets

Have any of you used iron pellets in food plots? It does wonders to lawns here in the south, just wondering if it would turn cereal grain plants a deep army green also.

I'd get a $30 comprehensive soil test before you start putting down nutrients, because once you spread something, you can't pick it back up.

A lot of soils have plenty of iron, just pH that makes it take an unavailable form. Most chlorosis issues in pin oaks are related to pH being alkaline. Check soil before adding iron. You may get better results from adding a soil acidifier, which would help with other pH realted issues too.
