I hacked and squirted some gum trees with gly (round up) early fall. When or how long will it take to see them die off.

They are around the same size as a 5 gallon bucket and some are larger. I hacked at least 6-7 times around them and sprayed the cut heavy with straight gly.

I would guess only a few of them would leaf out this spring and most of those would die by fall. With gums, if it hasnt died by early fall, I would hack again and make sure you made it trough that outer layer. I personallyhaven't used roundup for hack and squirt on my gum trees, but someone on the old site had and said for him it worked similarly to tordon blu at killing trees, 95% of the time if i remember. I would be interested to see an update from you later on how well the straight gly works.

I may have to go out with some binoculars and look for green up. I will let you know as soon as I do.
