frozen trees

Drove by home depot/lowes tonight and all their fruit/shade trees have arrived already. No leaves but hundreds of potted trees sitting outside, its been getting in the teens and low 20s every night here lately. Wouldnt that potentially wreck a potted tree?

Last year my local walmart got there's in the day before a deep freeze and snowstorm. Maples, oaks, birch, all kinds of fruit trees, lots of shrubs. All of them already leafed out. They all died shortly thereafter.
