Hey guys, 3 years ago i started persimmions, oaks and dunstans from seed. I was thinking of giving them some fertilzer this spring. What mix and application is best for these young trees?

I use a mix of milorganite, osmocote and the tree paks from biologic on mine each spring

Check your soil pH first. All the fertilizer in the world won't do much if the pH is outta whack.

Ph isnt something i thought about fixing for trees. I will add some pell lime in with the mix. Most of our trees a re close to ourfood plot so i have good idea of where where at. 5.5 ph
What I found is .2 to . 4 N for every 100 square feet.

Kabic, i agree that any inputs should be measured. I looked up dunstans and a recommended ph is between 5.0 and 7.0 so i am on the lower end.
What i found for the other trees i planted are:
American persimmon - 6.5 to 7.5
Sawtooth oak - above 5
Swamp White Oak - below 5.9
I haven't found an ideal ph for dwarf chinkapin oaks yet. If anyone knows the ideal ph please let me know.
