..And I do too. I started picking some of the riper ones today, but will let some of the others hang for a few more days. I love the taste of this apple, and it laughs at FB and CAR.
Thanks Merle. Yes, it is a very healthy tree. I have another young one that had 5 or 6 apples on it this year, and it looks as healthy as this one. This is a variety that I can highly recommend for both disease resistance and taste. As you will recall, I don't do any spraying, so my apples will be less than perfect looking.
The only thing I have seen is an occasional apple that just seems to rot prematurely. I probably saw 5 on the whole tree, but the rest look just fine. I'm not sure what causes that, but I have also seen it on Liberty at my place.
I've never seen the first hint of fireblight, cedar apple rust, powdery mildew or Scab on these trees.
