Dampening Off

With the 2019 Nut Exchange underway I thought this might be something to think about when it comes time to plant, in particular, indoors. It may have been brought up before, buried in anther thread somewhere, but I think it explains pretty well one of the reasons for seedling failure. I know dampening off has happened to me and after reading these articles it is clear why. Hope this helps.

Those are both great links Suburbhunter. On using new potting soil for the seedling flats we also noticed in addition to no damping off there were no bugs being generated from the seed flats as they were when using soil directly from the garden; It matters greatly when the flats are in the house for the winter months (according to my wife).
