I am not sure, but think they are from 2011. Is the bushiness at the base making you think of DCO? It has a lot of low limbs as I never trimmed them.
Said it before, but those concordia oaks sure are pretty trees.
It is now 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1 and MDC says that the Concordia oaks are sold out. Does anyone know if they sold out in the previous 16 hours or do they just not have any this year? I should have bought some earlier this year when they were available. Oh well.by the way, MDC is offering the Concordia Oak this year. They will open for online purchases this Saturday:

Um, I think they need to grow a few more of those.

I went ahead and ordered some even though the order form said 0 allocated. Since they don't ship till Feb, March there may be some that don't get paid for or picked up. At least that what im hoping. It is now 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1 and MDC says that the Concordia oaks are sold out. Really ? that's ok. I have more seedlings than I know what to do with now, but not all of them are early producers like the Concordia. Yesterday I took my boat to the shop and they had a small Chinkapin oak probably not even 3" caliper that is loaded with acorns. And they are much bigger acorns than the one I found in the woods so I plan on getting some of those. If not all of them when they drop.I didn't see them listed in the Missouri Conservationist Magazine order form when I glanced at it the other day. I assumed they weren't available this year.
