I know it's the wrong time of year for this, but if anyone has some to share this fall/winter, I'd love to get on a wait list.Anyone going to have scions from these trees, or any other late dropping crabapples to swap?

A few years, depending on the tree size. You're generally cutting that year's growth in the fall/winter.I have some bigdog crabapple trees, how old does a tree have to be to cut scions?
LMK if you can get me some Big dog scion this winter. I want to try grafting a few.I’ll send you a picture of the tree next time I’m at my place, you tell me if you think it will work.
Any chance you're still active here? I'm interested in this scion too.letemgrow,
I can prune you off some Ralph Shay in a couple of weeks, 1" to 1 1/8" deep red fruit that does not drop until spring.
Great winter wildlife food, but unfortunately not much help for deer hunting.
@jlane35 bumping this again.... (but I know the notification emails aren't going out)LMK if you can get me some Big dog scion this winter. I want to try grafting a few.
Lmk if you got notified of a response now.The only email I got was for the message sent out. But not for this thread response.
Can you tell us more about this variety? Hopefully it's not too late to get some scion. (Now that we've got the forum back up and running 100%)letemgrow,
