Black or chokecherry?

It's been a decade or so since this Creek bank has been cleared, and this plant is only about 4-5 feet tall. Any way to tell if it's a small black cherry or a chokecherry?

The leaves will tell you better than the blooms.

I can barely see the leaves in that picture but the few toward the middle and bottom of the picture say chokecherry to me because of the more oval shape. Black Cherry leaves are more long and slender.

The red shaded leaves at the top of the plant aren't a great indicator, because they are immature and still growing.
OK, I'll try to get a better pic soon.. I'm really digging all this nature knowledge shared here. Thanks, Native.
