Bear and tree tubes

Learning they like tree tubes. I presume they think they are feeders.

Glad I don't have bears. I have had raccoons tear up a few tubes though.

Bears are nothing but a nuisance. Just wait until your trees are grown and they feel the need to climb them. We find limbs broken off and old trees ridden to the ground quite frequently. I have replaced 20 apple trees in the past few years.

270, do your bears know when the season is too? We have a short bear season and they seem to know when it is. They will be everywhere during deer season but when bear season rolls around they will vanish. Bears used to be included in the large game license in Virginia but now we have to buy an additional license to kill them. Another money racket out of Richmond that will result in less bears getting killed.
