Badboy buggies get any better?

I got a great offer on my hunt VE hybrid. Don’t need the hybrid so thinking of just getting electric and updating this extremely important piece of deer hunting equipment. Hunt VE or badboy???

I know that Bad Boy Buggies got bought out and I don't think they are even called Bad Boy any longer. I bought a new one a couple years ago and it did very well and I was very happy with the machine. Then I took it to our farm in the mountains and the batteries could not hold up with the steep terrain. I couldn't afford for it to run out of charge on top of the mountain so I decided to sell it and bought a gas powered Honda Pioneer. I believe the BBB was a good machine for less hilly terrain. It was well made and had plenty of power. You might consider looking at a Polaris Ranger EV.

Called Polaris dealers around me. One guy said they are junk and will not sell the EV. The other said he sold two. One guy had to replace batteries in 2-3 years and it was $3500, he was pissed. Isn’t trying to push them but will sell me one if I really want want. Recommends diesel or gas engines

Bull...I bought a converted EZ Go golf cart that is now in it's 6th season with the original Trojan batteries. Bought it in early fall 2012. It's been a freakin' beast of a machine. 4WD, 2 speed tranny, locking rear differential, heavy duty shocks and suspension and upgraded electronics. I love it. Got a diesel Ranger for any heavy work but when it comes to tooling around the farm the electric is my go to. Wonderful thing is I never ever have to haul gas. Local guy builds them. watkinsvillegolfcarts.com There's got to be someone around you that builds really good 4WD conversions. And yes, you will need 4WD. I'm about to replace the batteries and surprised I've got this much out of them but my property is relatively flat.

Here's a couple of pics of mine.

Thanks for sharing. I agree, awesome solution. I had one very close before I bought the hunt VE

It actually worked great. Only thing I want is a 2x2 hitch to take out deer and haul out 4 hunters at a time

We’ve gone gas and completely quite on the land (except tractor) My golf cart couldn’t handle the back carrier that takes our deer. We take a 2-4 our at a time. It’s for sure an option. I could take the tractor out to pick up deer and probably wouldn’t hurt a thing
