Anybody know a good rain dance?

We could sure use one badly. Figure if we dont get something substantial in the next 2 weeks all the dryland crops will be done. Some of the sandy stuff is already hurting real bad. At least its supposed to be cooler next week, yesterday it was a heat index of 105, 50% humidity and 20mph winds.

Hows everyone else doing?

Hate to hear that. We've got the remnants of tropical storm Cindy coming through now so we should be in good shape going into July.

I feel for you we went through it last year. We couldn't get fall crops though. We went 90 days without rain. Our fall plots didn't come up until the end of December.

I wish I could send all of our rain to you (Wisconsin) cant do much of any land work for people since its just pure mud everywhere here. Going to be some very long days/nights in future once we get some sun for a solid week or so

According to my Farm logs (which is always high IMHO) weve had .867" in June so far. I think its closer to .75 or less, and .40 of that came in one little shower. But weve had at least a week of 90+ temps and have been fairly windy.

Pretty soon Ill get to try summer covers whether I want to or not lol.

IMG_0365.PNG I wish I could send you some of ours--I've never seen our ground this saturated this late. This chart will give you some idea of this part of NY.

Planning some sort of outdoor event with lots of people tends to do it as well. So, invite a bunch of people over to wash and wax your car, tear the roof off your house and cut hay and you will have a monsoon!!!

I saw tonight on the news that the drought monitor says like 20% of the state is abnormally dry. I believe you were in that area. Luckily we arent that bad yet. All those KS guys keep getting all the rain! Only 1% of KS is abnormally dry (the lowest category of drought).
