looks 2.5 to me. I tried to talk myself into 3.5. Even covered up the antlers. It's a tough pic though with being up higher and not a full body but my guess would be 2.5

Heavier front half than back half, deep neck with good mass, would be my criteria.

you're not alone. Even in the QW magazine where they have the "Age this Deer" section in every magazine the so called experts don't always agree on 2.5 and 4.5. We even get lots of disagreements on the forum.

Looks 2.5 to me. The only thing that would make me think 3.5 is the way that shoulder goes into the body without any real definable difference. But neck into chest and gut into hips (what I can see of it) says 2.5.
