While sitting on stand this afternoon I was hearing acorns fall. Im in eastern Va., is this normal?
I believe the trees responsible are swamp chestnut oaks.
Like the leaves, acorns dropped 3-6 wks later here than usual. I never remember hunting mid Nov with leaves still on the trees as this year.. One reason, hard hunt year, as the acorns kept them fed and not moving.
