On the back foodplot at the Massey. Unfortunately, the small pools of water left in the creek have attracted the beavers and they are working the oaks over bad. Even the BIG oaks. I got permission from the game warden to take them out any way possible, but it’s tough to make yourself go in to shoot beavers when you should be getting ready to shoot deer.

Is that a Shumard?

I wish I could tell you, that tree is prolly a hundred years old, it’s as big around as a car hood. When it’s comes to oaks, they are either white or red to me, and that’s about it. Unless I planted them myself and labeled them.
