at the bare minimum 3 3/4 inches but I'd say at least 4 inches to be safe. I got the bestsight rings and they seem pretty sturdy. they have 6 screws on each ring and are pretty thick so hopefully this will work. going to sight it in tomorrow.
I did but the distance between the 2 rings is to short and my scope won't fit in it. now unless the have that type in single base rings (2 pack) I'd go with them
well the offset mount won't work. it sits to close to the guns picatinny rail that the IR light hits the scope. I sure hope bestsight scope rings are good
well that's my problem. I'm trying to find a set of good quality rings that has the picatinny accessory rail but those are hard to find. I bought a set of Leopold rings but they didn't have the extra picatinny rail so I'm trying a picatinny offset mount (first pic) but also bought a set of...
ATN emailed me back and said that all their scopes have a recoil rating up to a 416 Barrett. I went and got the ATN X-sight 5 5-25. I'm buying different rings because a few reviews and articles said that the rings that come with the scope aren't that good and is possibly the cause of the scopes...
yea I emailed them about the ATN X-Sight 5 ultra HD 4K night vision one to see if it will withstand the 30-06 recoil but haven't heard back yet. I'll let you know when I do. I really liked the first ATN I had but when that screen went gray on the AR I wanted to cry lol. I can only imagine what...
ok well I bought the sightmark wraith 4-32x40 and mounted it but then saw on their website that it only has a recoil rating up to a .308 :(
sending it back because I have a 30-06. anyone know of one that will be good for a 30-06?
well I emailed sightmark and they just advise me that the wraith HD 4-32x50 was discontinued and will no longer be made. the replacement was the 40MM. well guess I'll go with the 40
thanks. I did try an ATN X-sight 4K pro night vision but when I tried to sight it in, the screen went gray/white after 3 rounds from an AR15. I could see the cross hairs and get all menus but couldn't see the target or anything like that.
ok thanks, I had googled and saw a few things that said the opposite from each other. I knew that as far as a regular scope goes, the bigger the lens the more light can be gathered which mean the longer you can see in low light but wasn't sure about the night vision since you can in essence...
I'm looking into getting a night vision scope for coyote hunting and was wondering if the objective lens actually matters with night vision. for instance is a 50MM lens better to get than a 40MM lens? and does it being digital matter as well? thanks
I recently bought a savage model 12 22-250. I know it is a varmint gun but does that mean it is just for coyotes and such or can it be used for racoons as well. sorry if this is a stupid question but I've never owned anything smaller than a 30-30 besides shotguns. thanks.
