I would make sure that I had red osier dogwood in and surrounding my 30 acre reed canary swamp, red osier/spruce combo. Do you have tamaracks out in the reed canary grass? G

I waited till 7:30 pm for the winds to diminish, which they didn't do much. High winds and lot of fuel for the west leg down. I got down at 9:30 and a storm cloud put my fire out. G

ah oh. I lit and advanced two lines up and under that readily switched from back to head to backfires. I now have faith in my top break. With big winds forecast for today I held off on lighting up the whole ditch but I'm ready to this evening. G
